The first release as Black Rabbit by Guy Appleton of Brighton, who under
his DJ Floorclearer alias has Dropped Jaws and smashed heads with releases
on Deathsucker, Wrong, and Peace Off as well as in clubs all over the uk
and european breakcore scene.
Black Rabbit Truly balances out Appleton's Musical ideology by mastering
dance floor friendly heavy bass music with an early nineties full on rave
sensibility. Gaining an Edge via the Funky restraint of steady rhythms but
without losing the intensity and hardcore boldness he aquired through all
those Floorclearer gigs and releases. "Mushy Peas" is a personal mish-mash
of all the things Guy wants to hear at a Club - euphoric pianos, grimey
claps and snares, heavy bass and pounding four to the floor sections,
envisioning a young Liam Howlett fighting Drop the Lime, and Modeselektor
in a monster truck duel to the death.
